Master Song-Tso Chen

Master Song-Tso Chen began the daily practice of Tai Chi and Qi-Gong with his father at the age of seven. He has studied with many masters who were the original students of the great grand masters of Tai Chi and Qi-Gong and has practiced meditation at many temples. Master Chen still returns to China every other year to study with Master Lay Jin-Shuh who is the senior student of Wong Shuh-Jin, the famous Tai Chi Chuan and Pa Kua Chang Grand Master, as well as with Master Liaw Jen-Shyang who is the senior student of Grand Master Cheng Man-Ching, who first introduced American students to Tai Chi Chuan in 1964.

Master Chen comes from a remarkable education background. His father is a Western physician while his uncle practiced traditional Chinese medicine and healing arts. From the time he was a small boy, Master Chen was exposed to standard practices of both Eastern and Western medical traditions. Master Chen was invited at the age of twelve to study Taoist and Confucian philosophies with the monks who lived in a Taoist Temple located next door to his family's home.

Master Chen established the first internal martial arts school on the Treasure Coast in 1988, offering classes in Tai Chi, Qi-Gong, and Taoist and Buddhist meditation techniques. He is well known for his skills in cultivating internal energy (Chi) and in assisting clients and students in the self-cultivation and regaining of their own internal strengths. Master Chen is a member instructor of the Tai Chi Association of the Republic of China and holds a Certificate of Technical Specialty from the Indian River Community College.
